The CRNA is Recognized with a Regulatory Achievement Award

The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is honoured to be the recipient of the Regulatory Achievement Award from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).

The Regulatory Achievement award recognizes the member board or associate member that has made an identifiable, significant contribution to the mission and vision of NCSBN in promoting public policy related to the safe and effective practice of nursing in the interest of public welfare.

The CRNA is responsible for governing and regulating registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), certified graduate nurses (CGNs), graduate nurses (GNs) and graduate nurse practitioners (GNPs) under the Health Professions Act. It is our mandate to protect the public and we are proud to accomplish this using a Right-touch relational regulatory approach.

The Regulatory Achievement Award highlights our commitment to serving the public interest by ensuring ethical, safe and competent care by our registrants.
