The CRNA regularly asks for input from the public as it develops and revises standards and guidelines to ensure they are evidence-informed and align with best practice.
This input opportunity includes one scope of practice and one standard of practice document, with amendments that update existing nurse practitioner (NP) scope of practice and add clarity to a draft standard of practice.
The changes are intended to ensure the direction provided is clear, concise and outlines what the public can expect from Alberta registered nurses (RNs) and NPs in providing safe, competent and ethical care.
The deadline to provide feedback for each document is Dec. 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
