The College of Registered Nurses (CRNA) has a busy year ahead filled with public engagement opportunities and events in support of our regulatory mandate. Read more below for a preview of what to expect from the CRNA in 2025.

Join the CRNA as we delve into the CRNA Regulatory Spectrum and Right-touch relational regulation. Through videos and live webinars, the College will share how we work to balance rules and the "letter of the law" with transparent, proportionate and reasonable decisions that are intended to support Alberta’s health care ecosystem.
New and returning applicants to the CRNA are invited to attend our Applicant Navigation Webinar Series, where the College’s Registrant Navigators will walk through the application process step-by-step, and answer commonly asked questions related to applying for a permit.

Registrants of the CRNA are required to renew their permits on an annual basis. Renewal runs from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30.
The CRNA is governed by a Council made up of both public members appointed by the Government of Alberta, and registrant members selected through a competency-based process. Council meetings occur quarterly.

The CRNA recognizes a selection of Canadian public holidays, as well as several other days of significance throughout the year. During some of these holidays, the CRNA’s office may be closed, but registrants and applicants remain able to access their profiles and applications at anytime from any device in College Connect.
