Coordinator, Regulation & Standards
At the CRNA, we are committed to regulatory excellence and safeguarding the public interest. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Coordinator, Regulation & Standards to provide essential administrative and operational support for Nursing Education Program Approval (NEPA) processes and regulatory standards development.
This position plays a vital role in facilitating the approval and reapproval processes related to NEPA and supporting the Regulation and Standards team in developing and maintaining standards of practice and regulatory policy documents. Working to ensure alignment with the CRNA's regulatory standards, entry-level competencies and Right-touch relational regulation principles, the Coordinator will facilitate documentation, coordinate with internal and external partners, and support continuous improvement initiatives for nursing education programs and standards.
What You Will Do
Regulation and Standards Support
- Coordinate application intake, documentation review, and file management for NEPA and regulation and standards processes.
- Schedule and coordinate site visits and partner meetings.
- Maintain tracking systems and databases related to program approval and regulatory initiatives.
- Support preparation of reports, policy documents and briefing materials.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Process expenses and verify financial documentation related to NEPA and regulation and standards activities.
- Coordinate logistics for regulation and standards meetings and program approval activities.
- Support development and updating of forms, templates and operational tools for regulation and standards functions.
Communication and Coordination
- Serve as primary contact for post-secondary institutions regarding program approval processes and requirements.
- Coordinate communication between the CRNA and educational institutions throughout the approval process.
- Support partner engagement sessions and consultation activities.
- Facilitate information sharing across the Regulation and Standards team and other CRNA departments.
Documentation and Records Management
- Maintain official records related to program approvals, standards of practice and regulatory policy development.
- Ensure proper retention and accessibility of documentation in compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Track and monitor completion of approval conditions and regulatory follow-ups.
- Prepare standard reports and data summaries for senior management and Council.
Process Improvement and Quality Assurance
- Monitor regulation and standards procedures for efficiency, consistency and compliance.
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing operational enhancements.
- Support quality assurance reviews of documentation, reporting and regulatory processes.
What You Possess
Education
- Two (2) years post-secondary education in an academic, administrative, trade or technical program.
Experience
- Five to seven (5-7) years of relevant professional experience in administrative, regulatory or educational environments.
Skills and Competencies
- Attention to Detail: Precision in documentation, compliance monitoring and process management with accuracy and completeness.
- Effective Communication: Clear, professional communication skills for diverse partners including post-secondary institutions and regulatory partners.
- Process Management: Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple activities, manage competing deadlines and maintain tracking systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements and standards development processes.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and meeting technologies.
- Problem Solving: Navigate complex administrative challenges, resolve documentation issues and support partner needs.
- Budget and Financial Tracking: Experience with expense processing, budget monitoring and financial documentation verification.
- Document Management and Policy Compliance: Expertise in records management, documentation standards and regulatory compliance.
- Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing exceptional support to post-secondary institutions and regulatory partners.
