Renewal is Closed: Check a Nurse’s Status

Renewal for the 2025-2026 practice year has closed. Registered nurses (RNs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) must now have 2025-2026 permits from the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) to be able to practise in the province.

The annual renewal process is one of the ways the CRNA protects the public through regulation of the nursing profession. At any time, the public can search the list of registrants with active permits via the Find a Nurse Tool.
