Public Advisory: Sarah Jain Roberts

The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) has learned that an individual named Sarah Jain Roberts may have falsely identified themself as a registrant of the CRNA.

Sarah Jain Roberts is not a registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP) in Alberta and is not entitled to practise as an RN or NP in Alberta, or use the protected titles of registered nurse or nurse practitioner.

Protected Titles

Under the Health Professions Act (HPA), the protected titles "registered nurse," "nurse practitioner," and their abbreviations may only be used by individuals who are registered with the CRNA. A person who falsely uses a protected title or represents themselves as belonging to a regulated profession when they are not may be committing an offence under the HPA and may be subject to fines and other penalties.
