You may need to verify your registration depending on your application type and current jurisdiction.

Verification from your current regulatory body certifies:

  1. You hold registration as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner.
  2. You are in good standing, with no conditions.

If required to submit documents, you must request this information from your current regulator using the form below. You can submit your Alberta application while waiting for your current regulator to complete the request.

Verification documents must come directly from your current regulatory body to the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). The time to complete this step will depend on the other regulator's processing time. Once the CRNA receives a verification, there is a 48-hour processing time.

The verification must include, at a minimum:

  1. Legal name.
  2. Date of birth.
  3. Registration ID (unique identifier)

As part of the look-up, we will confirm that the applicant has no current conditions. During the good character requirement, applicants will confirm that they are not currently under investigation and meet all good character requirements.
