On March 24, 2020, College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) received a notice from Yardstick Assessment Strategies (YAS) that the administration of Canadian Nurse Practitioner Examination (CNPE) writing scheduled for May 6, 2020 has been affected by COVID-19.
The Canadian RN regulators are working together with YAS to determine options and possible next steps.
Information about next steps will be posted here as the information becomes available.
Candidates may withdraw from the exam in advance, up to and including the scheduled date of the exam, before the exam begins. Withdrawing from the exam is not considered an exam sitting.
Failure to appear for the exam without notifying CARNA that you are withdrawing may result in the loss of your complete exam fee.
