Reporting criminal history

All applicants and regulated members must disclose any criminal history.

How to meet this requirement

New applicants

New applicants are required to submit a criminal reference check and disclose any completed or ongoing conduct investigation under HPA, or equivalent in another jurisdiction.

Current registrants

Regulated members must report, as soon as possible, if they have been charged or convicted with an offence under the Criminal Code. Please contact casemanagement@nurses.ab.ca to report.

Members must also confirm they do not have any charges or convictions when they renew their permits every year.
