Provincial Council approved revisions to the CARNA Bylaws for consultation, related to the publication of professional conduct decisions about former members and the facilitation of professional conduct processes.
These revisions are required to permit the publication of disciplinary matters for “former” members and “investigated persons”. Revisions are also required to facilitate professional conduct processes for public safety.
Revisions to the CARNA Bylaws are required as CARNA Bylaws provide the rules by which the College governs and for compliance with the Health Professions Act (HPA).
The Bylaws will be distributed to members and key stakeholders for a period of 60 days (January 13 to March 13, 2020). Feedback from the consultation will be incorporated and presented to Provincial Council for approval at the March 2020 Council meeting.
