Withdrawal of nursing policy documents
The Medical Assistance in Dying: Guidelines for Alberta Nurses (2017) was withdrawn as it no longer aligns with the Criminal Code of Canada. An additional motion was passed to create replacement guidance. | Watch
Council withdrew seven position statements and seven endorsed documents to support the College’s transition to a single mandate regulator. | Watch
Derrick Cleaver is this year’s recipient of the Vogel award. We are very thankful for Derrick’s service on CARNA’s Council.

Tyler has been an integral part of our transition to reform governance and his insight and contributions on Council over the years have been invaluable. Tyler has worked as a front-line care provider, educator and researcher and clinical quality improvement specialist.
We greatly appreciate Tyler’s commitment to improving health care and his contribution to Council discussions and decisions.
Over her 6 years on Council, Jeannie has positioned herself as a leader who demonstrates a broad understanding of the role of Council, and the legislation that guides regulatory responsibilities. Her experience has been diverse and valuable to the many decisions made by Council.
We appreciate her work on the CARNA committees she served through the years and her experienced perspective she brings to Council.
