You have two online application forms to complete before you can write the exam.
After we declare you eligible, you will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) email from Pearson VUE to schedule an appointment to write the exam. You can write the exam at any Pearson VUE testing centre of your choice.
CARNA will email your official exam results to you within six weeks.
A note about Quick Results Service
We've received several questions regarding Pearson VUE's Quick Results Service, which releases unofficial results within 48 hours. This service is not available in Canada. Read full details on the Quick Results Service.
If you passed the NCLEX any year on or after 1982, your next step is to meet our registration requirements to receive your RN license.
If you passed the NCLEX outside of Canada, then the regulatory body that you were applying to when you wrote that NCLEX will have to forward your exam results directly to us. Contact that regulatory board to find out what fees or forms may be involved in having your results sent to us. We do not accept exam results from applicants.
Your next steps will be included in your exam results. You have three attempts to pass the exam. If you wrote and were unsuccessful in passing any of the following exams, the result counts as one of your three attempts:
